Top 10 Inside-Outside Combos

Even if you are stacked in the backcourt, you may be weak on the interior. Conversely, a team may be loaded in the paint, but not very powerful at the guards. To win the title, production from both inside and outside are necessary. Here are the top ten perimeter-post duos:

In order to make the list, a team needed a guard and a big man; that is why you won't see Damion James or Raymar Morgan on the list.

1. UCLA (Darren Collison, Kevin Love): These two might be the best in the country at their respective positions. There are not a lot of weaknesses here.
2. North Carolina (Wayne Ellington, Tyler Hansbrough): You could have taken Ty Lawson instead of Ellington, and the Heels would still be this high.
3. Indiana (Eric Gordon, D.J. White): Arguably the two best players in the Big Ten and two of the best in the nation, this two carry the Hoosiers.
4. Vanderbilt (Shan Foster, A.J. Ogilvy): Although you may not as familiar with these two, Foster is outstanding and Ogilvy is very solid.
5. Stanford (Anthony Goods, Brook Lopez): I could have combined anyone with Lopez and they still would be outstanding; Goods can score.
6. Butler (Mike Green, Matt Howard): Howard has added another dimension to the Bulldogs this season; Green is one of the best point guards in the country.
7. Kansas (Brandon Rush, Darrell Arthur): Both of these are the x-factors for the Jayhawks. Rush needs to be aggressive, whle Arthur needs touches.
8. USC (O.J. Mayo, Taj Gibson): If Gibson returns to the form he showed late last season, this is too low. Mayo is one of the best players in the country.

9. Mississippi State (Jamont Gordon, Charles Rhodes): Gordon is one of the toughest players in the country, while Rhodes provides a very solid inside option.
10. Georgetown (Jonathan Wallace, Roy Hibbert): Hibbert is one of the best centers in the country, while Wallace knocks down shots from deep.
