Player Rankings: Go-to-Guys

1. Drew Neitzel, Michigan State: Terrific clutch player, and single-handedly kept MSU in games last year.
2. Sean Singletary, Virginia: If he gets hot from deep, it’s over. He is also very good at getting into the lane for points.
3. Chris Lofton, Tennessee: If you need a three to tie the game, there is no one I’d rather have than Lofton.
4. Eric Maynor, VCU: His ability to get into the lane or pull-up for a mid-range jumper down the stretch is outstanding.
5. D.J. Augustin, Texas: Can get past nearly any defender with his quickness, and is a solid finisher.
6. Jamont Gordon, Mississippi State: His strength and size make him very difficult to defend straight-up.
7. Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis: He can get to the basket with ease, and can finish with both hands.
8. Scottie Reynolds, Villanova: One of the best scorers by the end of last season, he can knock down shots.
9. Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina: The only big man on the list, he’s relentless around the rim.
10. Mario Chalmers, Kansas: Can get to the rim to either finish himself or dish off to a teammate for a score.
