Players that can carry their teams to a win or two:
A.J. Graves, Butler: Can shoot the ball from deep, and is a great competitor.
Valdas Vasylius, Old Dominion: Inside-outside player creates match-up problems.
Torrell Martin, Winthrop: Averaged 28 points at UNC and Wisconsin. Enough said.
Wendell White, UNLV: Very difficult match-up due to his inside-outside ability.
Jamaal Tatum, Southern Illinois: Clutch scorer was the MVC Player of the Year.
Eric Maynor, VCU: Fearless scorer single-handedly brought Rams back in CAA title game.
Derek Raivio, Gonzaga: Is now in the spotlight for the Bulldogs. Is a terrific shooter.
Caleb Green, Oral Roberts: One of the best post players in the country--is a 20-10 lock.
Keena Young, BYU: Tough match-up up front can score in many different ways.
Stanley Burrell, Xavier: Terrific long-range shooter is clutch late in the game.
Aaron Nixon, Long Beach State: Big West Player of the Year can do-it-all for the 49ers.
Nick Fazekas, Nevada: All-American candidate is capable of getting 25 and 15 every night.
Nate Funk, Creighton: Funk is a very good scorer, and can put up points from everywhere.
Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis: Athletic scorer is a crafty and creative once he gets inside.

Players that will not last more than one round:
Trey Johnson, Jackson State: One of the best scorers in the country arrives on the big stage.
Stephen Curry, Davidson: Big-time freshman scorer will get a couple more chances in March.
Chris Daniels, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: Seven-footer could have a big day inside against Wisconsin.
Charron Fisher, Niagara: 6-3 forward is a outstanding scorer and rebounder.
Keith Simmons, Holy Cross: Can score in a variety of ways, and was All-Patriot three times.
Dashaun Wood, Wright State: Big-time scorer is capable of having a huge game from outside.
Justin Hawkins, New Mexico State: Underrated Utah transfer can do it all for the Aggies.
Maureece Rice, George Washington: Tough scorer can drive to the basket and shoot from deep.
Jamar Wilson, Albany: Extremely quick guard is very difficult to defend one-on-one.
Ibrahim Jaaber/Mark Zoller, Pennsylvania: Both players provide excellent all-around production.

Don't thin I would count xavier or the A10 a mid major - it was only a couple of years ago the conference ended the season with the number 1 team in st. joes and 2 teams in the final 8.

I basically meant "non-BCS" guys. I don't like the term "mid-major" in general--it's too ambiguous.
