Top 10 Go-to-Guys

FOR A COMPLETE BREAKDOWN OF THE NCAA TOURNAMENT, CLICK HERE

Every national championship teams has that one player that they can go to with the game on the line and he will come through in the clutch. Carmelo Anthony was that guy for Syracuse three years ago; Connecticut had Ben Gordon two seasons ago; and UNC rode Sean May in the title game. Here are the top 10 go-to-guys in the country:

Remember, this is NOT a ranking of the top players in the country. It is merely a ranking of their dependability in crunch time.

1. Adam Morrison, Gonzaga- He got a basket whenever Gonzaga needed one this season, and can hit seemingly improbable shots.
2. J.J. Redick, Duke- Has the ability to drop a dagger in the heart of opponents, and has unlimited range when he's hot.
3. Shannon Brown/Maurice Ager, Michigan State- Both of these wings are athletic and are able to drive to the basket or shoot the three.
4. Brandon Roy, Washington- All-around star can beat opponents off the dribble or step back and shoot a jumper. His playmaking abilities are excellent.
5. Nick Fazekas, Nevada- His dominant second-half performance in the WAC Title Game won me over. Inside-outside threat.
6. Gerry McNamara, Syracuse- Did anyone see the Big East Tournament? McNamara single-handedly won three of those games for the Orange.
7. P.J. Tucker, Texas- Clock mismanagement against Texas A&M doesn't bring his stock down much. Tough matchup for any defender.
8. Allan Ray/Randy Foye, Villanova- Either of these guys can beat their defender going to the basket, and can also shoot contested jumpers with ease.
9. Alando Tucker, Wisconsin- Excellent body control enables him to get off his shot against anyone. Poor free-throw shooting brings him down some.
10. Leon Powe, California- Might be the most dominant post player in the country. When he gets the ball down low, it's two points.
