Arkansas gets Abron

Arkansas has struck again.

After picking up Rashad “Ky” Madden earlier this week, John Pelphrey received a commitment from Devonta Abron on Sunday night.

“It was the best for me and I fit right in,” Abron said.

Abron, a 6-foot-7 forward from Seagoville (Tex.), chose the Razorbacks over North Texas and Florida International, although he also had interest and/or offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and others.

He is the latest addition to a dynamite recruiting class that includes Madden and his Arkansas Wings teammates, Hunter Mickelson and Aaron Ross, as well as five-star guard B.J. Young.

Pelphrey is clearly excited about who the program will be welcoming next year.

“He was so happy,” Abron said.
