The Week Ahead
Although there is just one week left in the regular season, there are still plenty of important games to be played. Here is a look at some of the major ones.
Minnesota at Michigan (Tuesday): Minnesota is hanging onto the bubble right now, but the Golden Gophers can’t afford a loss to the Wolverines.
Vanderbilt at Florida (Tuesday): Florida had a chance to potentially lock up a bid at Georgia, but lost. Vandy is playing excellent ball lately.
Villanova at Cincinnati (Tuesday): After its 18-point loss at Syracuse, ‘Nova is officially struggling. Cincy has barely any NCAA hopes.
Georgia Tech at Clemson (Tuesday): The winner of this moves into the NCAA Tournament, while the loser could find itself sweating in two weeks.
Illinois at Ohio State (Tuesday): Illinois has lost three of four to move into serious bubble trouble, while Ohio State is marching towards a two seed.
Louisville at Marquette (Tuesday): Two teams that have risen into the field in the past few weeks, and could lock up a bid with a win.
North Carolina State at Virginia Tech (Wednesday): Virginia Tech has lost three in a row to put itself in a very dangerous position for Selection Sunday.
Connecticut at Notre Dame (Wednesday): Huge bubble battle in the Big East. The winner here will likely be in next week’s field of 65.
Wake Forest at Florida State (Wednesday): Wake Forest is slipping quickly, losing three in a row, while FSU suffered a tough home loss to Clemson.
Charlotte at Rhode Island (Wednesday): Basically an elimination game in the A-10. The winner stays alive, while the loser has little at-large hope.
Mississippi State at Auburn (Wednesday): Mississippi State is still trudging along, winning five of its last six. It can’t afford a loss here.
Kansas State at Kansas (Wednesday): The biggest game of the week – potentially between two No. 1 seeds. A win here for KSU would be enormous.
Oklahoma State at Texas A&M (Wednesday): Two Big 12 teams that are playing great ball lately. A&M has won six of eight, Ok St. four of five.
Memphis at UAB (Wednesday): UAB is holding steadily as one of the last few teams into the NCAA Tournament, while Memphis has to run the table.
Duke at Maryland (Wednesday): This game will decide the ACC title, as Duke is currently one game up on the Terps. Should be a great contest.
Colorado State at San Diego State (Wednesday): San Diego State has to win out and then likely get to the MWC Tournament final to have a shot.
Dayton at Richmond (Thursday): A must-win for Dayton, who has lost three of five. Richmond lost to Xavier in OT, but had won eight in a row prior.
LSU at Mississippi (Thursday): Ole Miss did what it had to do last week by winning two games. The Rebels have to continue beating up on the SEC West.
Cornell at Brown (Friday): With a two-game lead heading into the final weekend, and the tiebreaker over both Harvard and Princeton, Cornell would clinch an NCAA Tournament berth with a win here.
Kent State at Akron (Friday): The MAC is not as strong as it has been in the past, but both of these teams could be a first-round threat. With both at 12-3, the winner gets the regular season title.

You think the College Park venue is gonna be enough for the Terps to get a win vs. Duke?
I do think that Maryland is going to pull out the win on Wednesday. Duke has struggled at times on the road this season, and Maryland is playing its best basketball of the season. Greivis Vasquez is making a run at ACC Player of the Year honors, and I think that he's going to carry the Terrapins to a victory.
