The Week Ahead
Connecticut at Villanova (Monday): UConn is rapidly falling from the at-large discussion, while Villanova is currently a No. 1 seed.
Virginia at Maryland (Monday): Postponed from last week, this ACC battle pits a team looking to stay in the hunt (UVA) and one near the top of the standings (MD).
Kansas at Texas A&M (Monday): This is a potential upset alert. Kansas is the best team in the country right now, but A&M is rolling and is at home.
Cincinnati at South Florida (Tuesday): Huge bubble battle in the Big East. Cincinnati picked up a big win over UConn, while USF fell at Marquette.
Wake Forest at Virginia Tech (Tuesday): Wake Forest is the second best team in the ACC right now, while Virginia Tech could use a big win.
William & Mary at George Mason (Tuesday): William & Mary is still in the at-large hunt, and George Mason is just one game out of the CAA lead.
Texas Tech at Baylor (Tuesday): Texas Tech badly needs a win to stay in the at-large race, while Baylor is very close to locking up a bid to the Dance.
Kentucky at Mississippi State (Tuesday): Kentucky is very likely to get a No.1 1 seed come Selection Sunday, but MSU has won two in a row.
North Carolina at Georgia Tech (Tuesday): North Carolina took a step in the right direction by beating NC State, and Tech has lost three of four.
Purdue at Ohio State (Wednesday): In my opinion, these are the two best teams in the Big Ten. Both have the potential to make a Final Four run.
Florida State at Virginia (Wednesday): Florida State has been up and down for three weeks, and Virginia is playing its second game in three days.
Akron at Miami (Ohio) (Wednesday): Akron is tied with Kent State atop the East Division, while Miami (Ohio) is just one game back in the standings.
Notre Dame at Louisville (Wednesday): Without Luke Harangody, Notre Dame has lost two in a row. Louisville needs to follow up its win at Syracuse.
Tulsa at Marshall (Wednesday): Neither team is really in the at-large hunt anymore, but there is the potential that one can make a late-season run.
Morgan State at Delaware State (Wednesday): With six games left, these two teams are the top of the standings, with MSU 2.5 games ahead of DSU.
Duke at Miami (Fl.) (Wednesday): This shouldn’t be a game that Duke can overlook. Miami is tough to beat at home, and the Blue Devils have struggled on the road.
Rhode Island at Saint Louis (Wednesday): Saint Louis is suddenly the A-10 team no one wants to play, while URI has lost two in a row to drop to 7-4.
Texas at Missouri (Wednesday): Texas is still a mystery team to most observers, while Missouri has shown it is nearly impossible to beat at home.
Louisiana Tech at Utah State (Wednesday): The top two teams in the WAC go at it. Utah State has a 1.5 game lead, and Tech has lost three of six.
Vanderbilt at Mississippi (Thursday): Vanderbilt is looking like a team that can make a Sweet 16 run, but Ole Miss is badly in need of a win.
Syracuse at Georgetown (Thursday): One of the top games of the week, both teams are coming off of very surprising conference losses on Sunday.
Pittsburgh at Marquette (Thursday): Pittsburgh has won three in a row after struggling, while Marquette has won five in a row and is rolling.
Wisconsin at Minnesota (Thursday): This is Minnesota’s last stand for an at-large bid; if the Gophers lose to Wisconsin, they have no shot.
