Non-Conference Games to Watch
This season is full of great non-conference games. Many would be surprised to see so many contests between Top 10-15 teams. However, there is not a fan out there that would complain about the amount of high-quality games on this season's slate. Furthermore, there are also dozens of games between potential NCAA Tournament teams and quality mid-major squads. Nearly every night, you can sit down and watch a game between NCAA-caliber clubs.

Thanks for the schedule post! As a college hoops fan, mostly Big East and ACC, where do you see Cuse ending up in the mix this season? Also is the ACC going to be as competitive as in recent years? Thanks a lot and I look forward to reading your stuff.

I think Syracuse is going to be solid this season, maybe not as good as last year, but in the mix of the upper echelon Big East nonetheless. I spoke to Onuaku, Rautins and Boeheim yesterday at the Big East Media Day and they all seem optimistic. Everyone loves Wesley Johnson, obviously, and Scoop Jardine seems like he has the edge on Brandon Triche at the point position. Onuaku and Jackson are a dominant inside duo, so the perimeter scoring just needs to step up.
As for the ACC, I think North Carolina is the favorite, but the middle of the conference is going to be deep and strong. UNC isn't as good as last year, and Duke has plenty of talent and could make a run. Clemson has an excellent core, Georgia Tech is ready to make a move, Wake Forest will reload, and Maryland might be the third best team in the league. Throw in teams like Miami, Boston College, Virginia Tech and Florida State, and it could be a wide-open race. The only sure thing is that North Carolina State will probably finish last -- even Virginia could win a few games.
