Key Games this Week
Texas at Texas A&M (Monday): The Longhorns have won two in a row but are struggling somewhat. A&M badly needs a win if they want to keep their hopes alive.
Michigan State at Purdue (Tuesday): The top two Big Ten teams in the preseason face off. Michigan State is rising, while Purdue is also picking up some momentum.
Maryland at Clemson (Tuesday): Expect plenty of points – and turnovers, potentially. Maryland needs a marquee win, while Clemson has to bounce back after its UVA loss.
New Mexico at BYU (Tuesday): New Mexico is on the outside in terms of the at-large picture, but a road win here would help. BYU has to keep winning if it wants a bid.
Notre Dame at West Virginia (Wednesday): The Fighting Irish have won two in a row after losing seven, while West Virginia is coming off of a blowout win over Villanova.
Miami (Fl.) at Florida State (Wednesday): Miami is just 4-7 in the ACC after its loss to North Carolina, while Florida State was blown out at Wake Forest.
Penn State at Illinois (Wednesday): Penn State is back in the at-large mix after beating Minnesota. Illinois is second in the conference pecking order after winning three in a row.
Providence at Louisville (Wednesday): Providence continues to improve its resume and a win here would do wonders for the Friars. Louisville is in line for a No. 2 seed.
Minnesota at Michigan (Thursday): An increasingly interesting conference clash. Minnesota is slowly falling in the at-large mix, while Michigan is back in the hunt.
Western Kentucky at Arkansas-Little Rock (Thursday): UALR took over the Sun Belt lead after Troy beat WKU, but the winner gets the auto-bid in next week’s field.
Weber State at Montana (Thursday): The two top teams in the Big Sky battle. Weber State has a 1.5 game lead on Montana with two and a half weeks left in the season.
Washington at UCLA (Thursday): Five teams are within two games of each other at the top of the Pac-10 standings, while Washington currently holding a 1.5 game lead on UCLA.
