Missouri's Lyons Suspended Indefinitely

Missouri forward Leo Lyons has been suspended indefinitely after the senior was arrested Sunday night for multiple traffic-related offenses. "He’s indefinitely suspended, and with that being said, right now, he won’t be playing in the Colorado game," head coach Mike Anderson told reporters, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune, referring to the Tigers' game tomorrow against the Buffaloes. "He’s suspended for that game, and depending on what takes place between now and then, I’ll make my decision as to other games." Lyons was arrested on Sunday after being pulled over for driving without the car's lights on. He then failed to produce proof of insurance, and it was found that he had an outstanding warrant for an unpaid fine resulting from a 2006 ticket for an illegal U-turn. The current suspension will be Lyons' third under Anderson, following one-game penalties for violation of academic policy in 2006 and for his role in last year's incident outside a nightclub in which five players were suspended. The 6-9 Lyons is Missouri's second-leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game on the season.
