Pargo to Test Draft Waters

According to a statement released by the university, Gonzaga junior point guard Jeremy Pargo has announced that he will enter the NBA Draft. However, he is not going to sign with an agent, leaving open the option of returning to the Bulldogs for his senior season. "This is a great opportunity for me to play against future NBA players in front of NBA executives," Pargo said. "Going through the early entry process will be a great learning experience. I am looking forward to Orlando and the pre-draft workouts and then I will make the decision whether to return to Gonzaga and earn my degree or stay in the draft." Head coach Mark Few supported Pargo's decision to test the waters. "I have full confidence in Jeremy that he will make an educated and thoughtful decision after going through the process,” Few said. Pargo averaged 12.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this past season.

Riek to Enter NBA Draft

According to Andy Katz of ESPN.com, prep school product John Riek will enter the NBA Draft. Family advisor Fatah Muraisi said Reik has been working out at the IMG Academy and will send in his paperwork to the NBA by the April 27 deadline. Riek also plans to attend the Orlando pre-draft camp. The 7-2 center has had a well-traveled high school career, going from the Sudan to Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.), and then finally ending up at The Winchendon School (Mass.). He graduated high school in 2006, though, enabling him to enter the NBA Draft despite not going to college.
